Bootcamp!

Remember this weekend (July 29-31) is our Boot Camp! We hope you are all excited and ready to dance!

On Thursday, Varsity will begin at 9:00am with lunch provided at noon. Then the JV team will join us at 12:30pm. JV, please be on time and eat before you come. The camp will continue for both teams until 6:00pm. We will have a water break in the afternoon and everyone will receive a water bottle. If students are worried that they may be hungry in the afternoon and would like to bring a snack they may do so.

On Friday, both Teams will meet from 9:00am – 6:00pm.

On Saturday, we will have a Car Wash from 10:30am – 2:30pm.

Saturday Evening we will be having a Party at Brad and Michelle’s house from 6:00-11pm! A wonderful parent has donated dinner for the party at 6:00pm. We will need an RSVP for dinner on Saturday night. Please let us know Thursday if you are able to come to dinner.

Please come ready to learn with your best attention span and high energy levels! We will be doing a lot of dancing throughout the weekend!

Retreat Information

Here are some reminders and updated information about the Retreat this weekend:

All dancing activities will be in the new school building Dance Room. Whenever you go to the new school, please enter the “East” doors (they are labeled with a poster) by the tennis courts on the east side of the school. Enter the doors and the Dance Room is all the way down the hall to your right (North). The Dance Room is the farthest North room in the entire building.
Current teams (2009-10) come at 9:00 am tomorrow. Next year’s teams (2010-11) come at 1:00 pm.
Saturday’s start time has been moved back to 10:00 am. Everyone should come at 10:00 am on Saturday to the Dance Room.
Please wear clothes you can dance in!
Remember to bring goodies/munchies/drinks to the party Saturday night. The party will be at Brad & Michelle’s house starting at 7:00.

Retreat Schedule

Below is the tentative schedule for the OHS Ballroom Team Retreat next week on June 4-5, 2010. Not everyone is involved in all activities, so please refer to the schedule below to know where and when you should plan to attend.

If you cannot attend a part of the Retreat, please let us know ASAP so we can plan for the correct amount of people coming.

Also, please let us know if you can bring any of the following on Saturday night:

goodies (cookies, brownies, etc)

snacks (chips, crackers, finger foods, etc)

drinks

other food for the party Saturday night

Today and Tonight

You did a great job in the assembly! I don’t know if you could hear onstage, but when the chair group lifted the girls up, there was a big response from the audience. Some gasping, some turning to their neighbor and saying “how did they do that?!” It was pretty cool.�

Good job!

Don’t forget to bring a white elephant gift (get something from your house that “you no longer need, but someone else needs”, something funny/weird/zany/etc) to the party tonight. It will start at 7 pm and will be at Livi’s house. Check your email or cell for her address.

Don’t forget to wear your “ugliest” Christmas sweater. A prize for the worst one!

Also, remember the sewing party right after school at our house for those who can come.

Measuring Party

This Wednesday (as in 2 days from now) we will have a team measuring party, where we will measure you all for costumes, such as the Blacklight costumes. We would like to do this at 9:00 am at our house. (check your email for our address)

Party Tomorrow!

Good job with the blacklight number tonight! We are making a lot of progress, which will be evident soon.

We will be having the November team party tomorrow at 7:00 pm at Chelsie’s house. Check your email for her address.

Chelsie has offered to get pizza for the party, so don’t be late! We’ll be playing games, watching movies, and maybe even doing a little Rock Band or Guitar Hero! (you ain’t seen nothing till you seen Brad plan them drums!)

Team Party tomorrow (10/15)

We will have the team party tomorrow night (10/15/08) at Kim’s house at 8:00 pm. Check your email or your cell for her address. Don’t forget to bring some food if you signed up for it. Bring your ping pong paddles. Brad has never been beaten!

Michelle’s Baby Shower

The time has come for Michelle’s Baby Shower! The Baby Shower for all OHS ladies will be on August 2 at 3:00 pm. It will be at Olivia Mabey’s house:

There will be food, games, and all your old team friends! (plus Michelle!)

Michelle is registered at the Target and Walmart baby registries if you would like to get her a present.

Come have some fun, and see how cute Michelle is pregnant (she’ll kill me for saying that).

After Tour Party!

Thanks for the great tour! That was probably the best tour we have ever been on in terms of no big problems, everyone basically on time to things, following rules, having fun, and being able to do all the things we planned!

As we talked about on the bus, we’ll have an after tour party this Thursday at our house starting at 7:00 pm. Bring your pictures, souvenirs, stories, and anything else you want to bring to reminisce about the tour. Tour chaperones are definitely invited! All team members are invited to come. (even those who didn’t go on tour)

We will watch the videos of all three performances.

If you can burn the pictures your took onto a CD and give that to us, we will compile all the pictures from everyone onto a tour DVD that will have all three performances, the workshop with Heather Smith, and everyone’s pictures.
