AF Comp Address

We had a great practice last night! Paul was very impressed with how far you have already come! He will be there tonight and give us feedback on how you do. Lets show everyone how good you are tonight!

You can access all the medley videos here. I would suggest downloading the video files to your hard drive before trying to view them. They each are pretty large (abround 90 MB each) so they can be in good enough quality for you to see the dance moves. Same username and password as before. (check your email)

Latin Medley Video

The video of the Latin Medley from last summer’s tour is here:
Check your email for the username and password. Please don’t share this video with other people. This video is only for your personal practice use.
The file is large, so it will take a few minutes to download, even on a broadband connection. This version only has 5 couples dancing. The full competition medley has 8. Also, some parts people dance slightly different versions of the steps.
However, this video will give you the general idea. Please review it and learn as much of the medley as possible.

We are finishing up work on the DVDs for last year. For the tour, we have pictures from:

Does anyone else have pics from tour they could bring us? We will put them on the tour DVD. Please let us know this week!
Also, please let us know how many copies you would like of each of the DVDs we are making:
- Tour DVD
- Holiday Concert DVD
- Year End DVD (will include year-end concert)
This will help us know how many copies to create. We will put them in the office and let you know when they are ready for purchase.

Awesome Comp!

You guys did an awesome job at the comp! OHS has never done a Latin Medley before, and you got 2nd on the first try! I don’t think there was any other team who had so many team members dancing in both the Latin and the Standard Medleys!
We also placed higher in the Team Match than we ever had before. We were in 1st after the Waltz, and never below 3rd the whole time!
Thanks for working so hard and putting in the long hours. You really reaped the benefits of your practice!
Good job on your individual competitions. Olivia is now 2nd in the nation in Youth Smooth (actually above her age group). Rob, Rebecca, Tiffany, Jason, and Tom also did great by placing in the finals!

Medley Dress Rehearsal times

We have been told by BYU which times we have for our medley dress rehearsal. Everyone needs to be to the Marriott Center by 7:40 pm on Wednesday, March 12. We should be done by 9:00 pm.

Today’s practice was one of the best we have ever had. I felt like everyone worked hard and we were really able to clean several parts that were not working before. Thank you to all of you for paying attention and giving the practice your best effort. I know this time of the year is a little crazy.
